Margie Fishman is an award-winning writer and editor with more than a decade of experience contributing to national newspapers, magazines, and trade publications. She has written for National Geographic, The Philadelphia Inquirer, Newsday, The Atlantan, Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles, and Georgia Magazine, among many other publications. Additionally, she writes for corporate clients and research firms, including Duke University and OTR Global.
Margie enjoys working on lifestyle stories, including profiles, travel, home and garden, consumer affairs, and arts and entertainment coverage. But she feels that she can tackle any subject with flair. As a beat reporter, she covered business, politics, housing and education, and was dispatched to the field to report on Hurricane Isabel in 2003. With a solid foundation in reporting, she knows how to juggle multiple tasks on tight deadlines, parse complex documents, and consistently deliver accurate, clean copy that enlightens and entertains. She is driven by an insatiable curiosity and the tracking ability of a private detective.
In every story, she strives to capture a nugget of humanity.
In her spare time, Margie enjoys dancing, bargain hunting, and doting on her hound dog, Ernie Pyle.
